Daniel P. Attardo

Daniel Peter Attardo, age 74, of Norwell, died on August 9, 2017 having recently been preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Marion. He is survived by children, Daniel Attardo and wife Vicki of Chesapeake, Va. David Attardo and wife Mary Jane of Marshfield, and Paul Attardo of Quincy. Dan was the son of the late Salvatore (Sam) and Eleanor (Niosi) Attardo and was brother of Mark Attardo (Denise) and the late Michael Attardo and the late Frances Attardo. Dan loved his grandsons, Daniel Alexander, Nicholas, and Anthony and his granddaughter Raellyn. He found great joy in hearing of their latest accomplishments and ongoing endeavors. Dan was born in Boston on April 29, 1943. He graduated from Boston English, attended Boston Business School, and began work at New England Telephone Company where his career took him over forty-five years until his retirement with Verizon. He and Marion made their home in Norwell over forty years having moved there from Dorchester. He enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening, and playing cards with family. Dan was always there to lend a helping hand (he truly was a handy man) and sage advice to friends and family. Family and friends invited to a funeral Mass at St. Helens Church, 383 Washington St. (Rte 53), Norwell, MA on Wednesday, August 16, at 9 a.m., followed by a visitation there in the church foyer. All invited to a reception immediately following at Roht Marine, 2205 Main St. (Rte 3A), Marshfield, MA.
