Today is a hard day... as my family gathers to say goodbye I'm home to far away to hug my Grandma and stand with my brothers. So this will be my way of saying goodbye. I love you all and wish I could of been with you.
Howard wasn't just a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, or even a Great Great Grandfather. He was so so much more. He was a World War ll Navy Veteran, a Business owner for the family furniture store , a Community Supporter, but those aren't even the highlights of who he really was. He was a Adventurist taking many of his grand kids on their first ride to the springs on the back of his Motorcycle. He was the circus coming through small towns with his huge RV pulling his truck holding the motorcycle and Canoes. But my favorite characteristic of him was the story telling. He would always tell us the best stories of his childhood while we played checkers and shared Bunny milk. (Strawberry Quick) I'm going to miss his Knowledge, Wisdom and Stories. R.I.P Grandpa you'll always be Missed

Deepest condolences to the family. First time we ever visited your store back in the 80's we felt welcomed. Howard was a pleasure to do business with. Always pleasant & down to earth. Same with Barry & the rest of his family. Extremely sorry to hear of his passing.

Uncle Howie was such a blessing to us (Nancy, Dave & Diane) growing up and that continued into adulthood. Howard & Jean held a family party to send me (Nancy) off to Navy boot camp in 1979. My cousin Steve, also a Navy Vet, was there. When I returned with a Navy husband, Howard welcomed him. Our children have fond memories of family gatherings and vacations. My daughter, Julia, remembers a motorcycle ride on her 16th birthday during a camping trip in New Hampshire. My son, John, remembers attending Howards 80th birthday party while he was home on leave from the Navy. Howard touched a lot of lives. Sorry to hear of the passing of Howard, I remember him fondly. I was friends with his daughter Debbie as we grew up at First Baptist Church. I also remember have Mr. Warmington for my sixth grade Sunday school class. It was awesome to see him a few years ago when we honored people who had been members of First Baptist Abington for over 50 years. My sympathies to his family.
