Even now, after ten years, I miss her and her marvelous personality. she was the best kind of doctor a patient could have: listening, responding directly, quick to list options and allow the patient to determine the priority. She also shared her love for her boys and I so enjoyed their art on the walls. They were always front of mind in her heart.

I agree with others that Kiran was an extraordinary physician. We are also still deeply mourning her passing. We finally chose a new physician, but after just one year in practice, she has decided to go back to academics. So, we search again. If her patients are mourning her this much, I cannot imagine how difficult it is for her family.

I am truly saddened to find my dear friend from Northwestern has passed away. I always hoped we would reunite in a blaze of smiles, hugs and laughter.. Gone far too soon. I will keep our college memories forever in my heart. Much love to your family. Rest in peace dear forever friend.

All of us who had a doctor-patient relationship felt close to Kiran. It would be helpful to those of us who are mourning her loss if someone in the family could let us know how her boys are doing. I cannot imagine their loss. When you visit a physician for 16 years, it becomes more than a professional relationship - we feel like family. We always talked about what the boys were doing and they were the delight of her life. Please share if you are able.

Kiran was my best friend in junior high. I was a year older, and we were inseparable. I remember that we called each other Paco, for some silly reason.
I didn't realize that she had gone to Northwestern too, where I went. I just got my Northwestern alumni bulletin and saw her name there in the obituary.
We were best friends, and I'm saddened that she is gone. My thoughts and prayers with her family.

As I booked an appt for a new doctor today, I was again overwhelmed with sorrow and sadness at the loss of Dr. Minocha. She had been my doctor for years and was my supporter when I had breast cancer while raising my twin babies. She was so kind and understanding as a doctor and always knew what to say or do to put my fears to rest. I will always miss her.

I was shocked and so saddened when I read the news of Dr. Minocha's death. I can hardly believe it. I hadn't known her long, but was already grateful to have found her. I could see that she was a wonderful person, as well as a great doctor. It is tragic for so many people and a great loss to her family, friends and patients and to the world, as well. My sincerest condolences to Dr. Minocha's family. She will be greatly missed.

Kiran Ahuja was my first cousin, but with fifty six of us cousins, this not describe how close a relationship we really had as children. It was obvious that Kiran as a child was very intelligent and she set the bar for the cousins of her age in terms of academic achievement. She was always kind as a kid and when I see so many eulogies from her patients, I realize she carried that kindness into her adulthood and into her career. Seemingly, she has touched the lives of patients in the same way she has contributed to the childhood memories of her cousins.
Kiran was born the same year as me, but since she skip a year, she was academically a year and ahead and me and she was someone I envied for her greater success and intellect. Her brilliance contributed to her wit and humour, always lighthearted and funny with an infectious laugh. As a kid, Kiran was generous and kind and unmistakeably creative. For me, she set the watermark for what cousins my age were to achieve and I have her to thank for being a childhood mentor. She gave so much to others.

Our sincere condolences to Dr. Minocha's family. She was our primary doctor for the past five years or more. While I waited in the examination rooms, I loved looking at the artwork from her children. She made a profound difference in my life and in so many others' lives.

To the Minocha Family,
My husband and I extend our deepest sympathies to your family. Dr. Minocha was my primary doctor for more than a decade. In addition to the annual physicals and small complaints, she assisted me during some serious challenges including a frightening illness of my daughter nine years ago and more recently the sudden death of my son and my own subsequent related health issues. I appreciated Dr. Minocha's many kindnesses; the quiet empathetic manner which served to validate my concerns and never trivialize them. While I attempted to remember to honor her time as a physician with a busy schedule, she never made me feel that she was in a hurry. She was a gifted listener in addition to being an excellent diagnostician. Many have spoken of the artwork on the walls of her examining room. As a teacher and mother, I too, noted the warmth that extended about her importance of being a physician and a mother. Only a few special people leave such an honorable legacy.
Sincerely,
Heather and Robert Sommer

Me and my husband both were Dr. Minocha's patient. We were in shock when we received the letter from Statland clinic regarding passing of Dr. Minocha. She was a great doctor and a loving mother. I still remember seeing the pictures of her two boys in the clinic room. She would always ask me about my family. Every time we met during visits we talked about our boys. She always had a smile on her face. It is hard to accept that she is gone. It must be extremely difficult time for her family. We send our deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Dr. Minocha. She will be deeply missed !!!

I was shocked with the news of passing of Dr. Minocha, I have been a patient of her's for quite some time. I have never felt so comfortable with a doctor and she always made me feel like I was her number one patient. Always had a smile on her face, remembered everything about me, always asked about my family and kids, never rushing me out and taking time to discuss the matter at hand. she was a very loving mother as you could tell by the smile on her face when she talked about her family. She will be sorely missed by all her family, friends, co workers and patients! May she rest in peace and GOD be with her husband and boys to help them through this.

I'm in complete and utter shock! I happened to open mail I received yesterday and just knew it was Dr. Minocha letting me know it was time for my yearly. I am so sad, and I only had one visit with her. She was so kind, warm, understanding and very thorough. And, I knew I had finally found that perfect, full-service doctor. She truly served her calling for her life. She was an excellent doctor and I hate I didn't have more opportunities to meet with her. I pray for peace and comfort to all the family, and that you will feel God's arms surrounding you.

I just read the letter from Statland Clinic and could not believe my eyes. How could this happen? I am so sad for her family and friends. I don't see how I can replace her with another doctor. I received a letter today from the Statland clinic announcing news of the very sad and untimely death of Dr. Minocha. I immediately burst into tears. I have been seeing Dr. Minocha for the past 10 or so years and she was by far the very best physician I have ever known. The care and compassion she showed me, not just as a patient with ailments to treat, but as a human being with fears, worries, hopes & dreams, surpassed any doctor I
out there. I will miss her so much. Those of you who were lucky enough to have known her more intimately, Hans and the boys especially, I am deeply sorry for your loss and wish you peace.

I read the letter about Dr. Minocha's passing with shock, disbelief and great sadness last night. She was such a wonderful doctor and person. I have been her patient for about 15 years or more. She was only 4 years younger than me and I took it for granted that she would always be my doctor. When I moved to Topeka, I continued to make the long drive to see her because I didn't/don't think I would find a doctor who I liked so much. I always admired her. She was always very compassionate and kind and so smart. My heart goes out to her family, friends and patients for such a great loss.

Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your loss. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved Kiran. I had the honor to have Dr. Minocha as my doctor for over 13 yrs. She became my mother's doctor for the last 5 years and my mom loved her too. One of the best doctors I have ever met. Always patient, always smiling and always so attentive to our needs. We had only boys in common and we always shared stories about our kids, and it was so obvious how proud she was of her family and I'm sure she was an excellent mother, wife and daughter as well as an excellent doctor and person. She always had a special way to make everyone feel welcome. We will miss her so much, and it will so hard to go back to the clinic and not see her. She set the bar pretty high and it will be very hard for us to find an awesome doctor and person like she was. Our prayers are with you and we have faith that she is in a better place now. She will always be in our heart and memories.

Dr. Minocha was my physician for 16-years. To me she was the warmest most outgoing, sweetest and utterly the kindest doctor I have ever known. I will miss her beautiful soul and I hope that the family finds solace in the love she emitted. She loved her family so much and it was obvious in the beautiful photos that hung in her patient rooms of the sons she so adored. I hope your sadness will be brief and you can celebrate the joy she brought to your family.

My husband and I are still in disbelief that our beloved Kiran Minocha is gone. 15 years younger than us, we assumed she would always be there for us - until the end of our lives. We have wept, wondered why, why, has she been taken so young, and we will grieve for some time. She took care of us for 16 years and we will never forget the way she would cock her head and asked, "what's up", or how she seemed to know how painful a condition was, and how she had a memory like an elephant. She was quite the detective and solved so many issues for us - she really knew her specialty plus more. We watched her struggle with changing over to electronic medical records and how difficult it was, (because as we all know, the doctor has to do data entry while talking to the patient) but WE KNEW she really didn't need the EMR as much as the system needed her... without looking back in our files, she remembered medications and conditions from years past, even when we forgot - . Yes, she was an amazing physician. We are deeply saddened that she was taken - no matter what condition or disease caused it, and we feel terrible that she too may have suffered. Kiran spent her life caring for all of us, and we felt almost like an extension of her close family. We have been so honored(and certainly VERY lucky) to have had her brilliant mind and expert care all these years. Hans and boys, I hope there is solace in knowing how loved Kiran was - we know you will miss her every single day of your lives, as will we. She set a wonderful example of how just one human being can so positively affect thousands of others and change the world for the better. We hope you will dedicate your lives to doing the same. To the entire extended family, we wish you many blessings as you reflect on your years with Kiran, and may you find solace by knowing how important she was to all of us. To her colleagues and co-workers, we feel for your pain as well - it simply cannot be easy to deal with her loss. With heartache and tears, Bill and Julie

To Hans and the Boys,
Kiran was a very very special person who is so rare in this world. Ruth and I enjoyed seeing the boys grow up as our neighbors. And they had the best mother you could imagine. always kind and generous and loving.
Kiran was a Doctor's Doctor. The very best and one the boys should be proud of. She took care of our family and was not only cheerful but figured out the most difficult medical issues for my mother.
Hans and the boys will miss her, but she is watching and guiding from heaven. She will always be in your lives and all of her patients and friends.

To the dearest Minocha and Ahuja family,
I am so deeply saddened. I was a colleague of Kiran's and was also honored to have known Lalita. Kiran had such a beautiful spirit of genuine kindness and compassion. She carried a quiet strength and dignity....always caring for others. I witnessed this firsthand with the beautiful loving kindness with which she cared for Lalita. Please know how deeply she will be missed by her colleagues and patients. Our community and our world has lost a beautiful woman and a precious light. My heart weeps for your loss. I pray you find comfort in knowing how very beloved Kiran was to her medical community. May Kiran be at peace in the loving arms of God with Lalita at her side. Dr. Minocha was one of a kind. What a beautiful soul. She always spent so much time with me during appointments, never rushing, always thorough. And kind beyond words. I loved the drawings by her boys in her office. Heartfelt prayers for her husband, sons and extended family.

Kiran was my friend and partner for many years. We went clear back to when she was a med student rotating thru my medical office in Wichita. I was so excited when we reconnected here in Overland Park. We supported each other during stressful times and had so many laughs together that a times we were told to "tone it down". I always teased her that I knew she was pregnant before she told anyone because she wore a dress to work. We shared the joys she had with her boysa from gingerbread houses to cooking experiments to art work adorning her office. The love she showed for her family, including the overhweming love for her mother, who was her best friend, is an example the rest of us should follow in our lives. I will miss her everyday and will try to deal with my patients with the same compassion and respect she showed. Thank you,Kiran, for being in my life.

What I remember the most about Dr. Kiran Minocha is her beautiful golden eyes.
She was smart, funny, humble, and kind. She took time to look at you as a person - your life, your family, your work.
She cared! She grieved with me when I lost my infant daughter and I grieved with her when she lost her remarkable mother.
She was passionate when she spoke of her boys and those beautiful golden eyes would light up!
I am heartbroken for her family and her patients. Dr. Minocha truly was a light that shone brightly but went out too quickly.
May her boys and her family find healing and peace.

Dr. Kiran Minocha saved my life three times. First when I contracted Legionaries Disease in Pakistan and she taught me the breathing chant to help me through the asthmatic nights, again when she pushed herself up in my face and told me to reduce my cholesterol and the third time when she told me to begin having my PSA checked.
She always had a smile on her face and as others have said I too truly enjoyed seeing this friend of mine.
She now has a brand new set of socks to wear and whatever God there is now has the best human being ever made. ????? ????
My condolences to her family.

DR. Minocha saved my life. I have been a patient of hers for about 10 years. I went to see here for my yearly check-up and she asked me how I was feeling. She always asked how you were feeling because that was the way she was such a caring person. I told her about some pain I was having and she did an ultrasound and found I had leasions in my liver and kidneys. She got me to the right doctors to help with my care and now I am doing great because of her. As it turned out I had kidney cancer and usually there are no symptoms but because she was proactive we caught it in time. I sent her her letter thanking her being such a great doctor and not disregarding little things. On my appointments we would talk about a lot of things such as my family and hers. I loved the paintings her sons did in her examining rooms we talked about life and we talked about how we both liked President Barack Obama that when I went to see him speak I brought her a Tshirt that her children keep taking from her and wearing it. We would laugh about it. One day I was in the supermarket with my husband and we ran into her and got the chance to meet 2 of the kids and they were just as nice as she was. She will be missed by all of her patients, she was a wonderful person and great doctor that cared for her patients. To her husband, children, family and friends our thoughts and prayers are with you. She loved you so very much. Stephanie and Darren Earl I will leave the family with this. The world was A MUCH better place with DR. KIRAN MINOCHA in it. She will be missed!!!

Dr. Minocha was a God send especially for me. Her kindness was beyond words that transcended the moon and stars. Her imeasurable medical knowledge, comfort, and cure always conquered my pain. Dr. Minocha's priceless compassion was contagious. I'm in awe of her greatness and the sudden eternal rest that surpasses my human understanding. Dr. Minocha defined new beginnings because God allowed her to give me a "do-over" medically, mentally, and miraculously. My heart and soul aches. More importantly, I pray for comfort and peace to help loved ones persevere through the grief. She is a legacy and was much appreciated and loved. I never had an opportunity to tell her she saved me. I will miss her dearly.
