May God bless his family and many friends at this difficult time.
Very sad news for me as I have known Jerry and his wonderful family for over ten years working together in the Boy Scouts of America in Braintree's Pack 22, Troop 24 and the Old Colony District Council Office. Jerry's important contributions as a den leader, committee chairman and district council commissioner made a difference. He gave back by training the next generation of adult unit leaders and will have a lasting impact with those that knew him. Jerry had a positive influence on hundreds of young men and leaders throughout his tenure in the Scouting program. He will be remembered for his dedication of time, (only an hour a week he'd say with a sly smile) and his love of the outdoors by all that enjoyed his friendship. He was a generous and compassionate man and he will live on in the memories of those many young lives he has touched. I will lovingly cherish my memories of Jerry.

To all the Monaghans,
We are beyond heartbroken at the loss of Jerry. Your family has had so much sadness in the past few years. Our memories of Jerry are many; from when that skinny little kid began working at the Pizza Oven. One of the most memorable was when Jerry finished two attic rooms for us in the late 70s. Another time he visited us for a few days in FL and again, very memorable - so many laughs. We will miss him and his big personality. He is most likely wrapping his arms around Patty and Gail right now. Our condolences and love to all of you.
