We are very proud of our cousin Daniel. He was a wonderful man who raised lovely children. It is certainly no wonder because my aunt and uncle were very special loving people as well. I think everyone who knew him would agree.

Dan O'Connell will always be remembered as "A GENTLE MAN OF CLASS"...... My daughter Laura married his son Mark... My brother ANTHONY and DAN were classmates from the seventh to the 12th grade at Boston Latin school, at the same time I was at Boston English high school.... Everyone who knew Dan respected him, for he clearly hewed a path with there was none, and left a trail for his Family to follow.
Dan's memory will always live in the hearts of all who knew him.. for he was truly a Standout Gentleman.... I will Always remember Dan as...
"A ROSE IN A HAYFIELD"

It is with sadness for us that i hear about my cousin Dan, he was the joy of his parents Edie and Dan and his wonderful family. Dan your parents loved yo so much and that is all they talked about you and your family. We very much appreciated you and Sheila coming to Ct to attend my girls weddings. It was a time for all of us to get together again. In heaven you can certainly hold your head high and be proud of the life you made for yourself and your family, All that you did for the country during your military service and what a fantastic example you showed your kids. our heartfelt prayers and thoughts go to your family and friends. although i am sad to hear of you passing suffering is over. I"m very proud to be your cousin. Suzanne

For the good ship O'Connell, Dan was truly the ballast that kept her steady in the roughest waters. Always reliable, never failing. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
