Dick was one of the first friends I made when I moved to Lebanon in April of 1941 when I was in 4th grade. He was a good friend through high school and college days and we kept meeting at LHS class of '49 reunions and other times over the years.

I had the pleasure of working for Dick at UNH. He had a saying that I still live my today- When he would hand me a big proposal to type he would say- inch by inch, life's a cinch, mile by mile life's a trial" so type one inch at a time! Words to live by! Sorry for your loss,
