Daniel Parsons Obituary

Daniel E. 'Dan' Parsons, 50, Hamilton, MA born January 11, 1966 passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 14, 2016. He was the son of David and Linda (Winslow) Parsons of Tuftonboro, NH, formerly of Hamilton, MA. Dan was raised in Hamilton, MA. He graduated from Hamilton Wenham Regional High School and studied Fire Science at North Shore Community College. He was hired by the Hamilton Fire Department at a young age as the towns first full-time Fire Inspector. He also worked as a Firefighter / EMT in Hamilton where he retired as Deputy Chief after over 20 years of service. He loved being a Firefighter and will be remembered for his love of helping others. He was recently promoted to Squadron Commander of the Beverly Civil Air Patrol Squadron where he enjoyed spending countless hours with his many friends and especially his son, Kent. He also worked at Brooksby Village where he held leadership roles in the Security and Emergency Services department. Dan had deep interests in astronomy, military history, gunsmithing, and computers, but his greatest joy was his son, Kent. Dan was extremely proud of all his sons accomplishments and was thrilled to know that his son was following his fathers footsteps in the Fire Service. Over the years, Dan could often be found poolside proudly watching his son race or play water polo. He also enjoyed teaching his son the trade of carpentry and worked on many pro jects along side of him. Dan is survived by his parents, David and Linda of NH, his beloved son Kent Daniel and his mother Jill (Pietrini) Parsons of Hamilton, MA, his sister Debbie (Walton) and her husband Tom and their children Michael and Jeremy of Hamilton, MA, his brother John (Jack) Parsons and his wife Robin and their son Wyatt of Mirror Lake, NH, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and members of the Pietrini family. He also leaves his special friends Tom Lyons and Patricia Vinciguerra. Dan was predeceased by his brother David Parsons. I Love You Dad. I used to love seeing Dan for many years at the Topsfield Fair. I so enjoyed seeing him at his booth for fire safety and prevention. A good person. A good friend. We shared many nice times together.
