Gertrude V. "Gay" Gorgone of Wellesley at 91 years old passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Nov. 4. Beloved wife for 49 years of the late Frederick A. Gorgone Jr. Devoted mother of Patricia Schofield and her husband Robert "Chip" Schofield of Wayland, Christopher L. Gorgone and his wife Marcia of Wellesley, Paula Gorgone of Watertown, Robert L. Gorgone of Watertown, Pamela Gorgone and her husband Gary Hilderbrand of Watertown, Peter D. Gorgone and his wife Linda of Danvers and the late Frederick A. "Chip" Gorgone III. Grandmother of C. Sean Gorgone, Frederick A. Gorgone IV and Nicholas Gorgone, Karen Gulley and her husband Ted, Katie Schofield, Robert Schofield III and his wife Mary, Janet Gorgone, Christopher L. Gorgone Jr. and Andrew Gorgone, Max Gorgone and Samuel Gorgone, Emily Gorgone and Abby Gorgone. Great-grandmother of Jonah and Brayden Gorgone, Meghan and Drew Gulley and Madalyn and Will Schofield. Alumnae of Russell Sage College, Class of 1941 Visiting hours were held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street, Wellesley on Monday Nov. 8.
