Barbara (Bertram) OConnell,of Weymouth passed away on April 21, 2021 in Plymouth. Barbara enjoyed her career as an elementary school teacher in Weymouth public schools. She loved traveling, and she and her husband have explored many exotic places together. Barbara had a passion for music, an artistic eye, an interest in antiques collecting and was an avid reader and gardener. She will be remembered by her many friends and family as a loving, generous and caring person who will be celebrated for her well-lived life. Beloved wife and longtime companion of the late Bruce Sweeney. Cherished daughter of the late John Bertram and Francis (Flaherty). Loving sister and best friends of Kristina (Bertram) Boyle and her Husband William of Plymouth. Also survived by many cousins, extended family and dear friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday, April 29th from 4-6 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth. Funeral service will be celebrated at 6 pm in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Rt 18 opp South Shore Hospital).
