Rose Gemellaro Obituary

Rose M. (Carlozzi) Gemellaro of Weymouth, passed away Dec. 28, 2012, at the age of 91. Rose was the owner of Gowells Jewelry Store in Abington for many years. A kind and creative person, Rose enjoyed crafting and was eminently likable. Recently, she won the Most Congenial Resident Award for all the Benchmark Senior Living Communities. She was the wife of the late Roy Gowell and the late Joseph Gemellaro; mother of the late Roy Gowell; mother-in-law of Darcy Gowell of Houston, Texas; sister of Antoinette Solimini of Weymouth, Francis and wife Peggy of Florida and the late Angela Rosati, Carmella Johnson, and Connie Carlozzi; beloved grandmother of Ashlie Johnston and husband Michael and Darren Gowell all of Houston, Texas; great-grandmother of Lily and Luke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opposite South Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8 a.m. Thursday prior to the funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth, at 9 a.m. Burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Abington.
