Thyra N. Andrews

Thyra N. Andrews (Thornberg), age 93, of Weymouth passed away on July 12, 2017 with her family by her side. Thyra was born in Sweden and, after moving to the U.S. when she was four, was raised in Quincy and Weymouth. She married her husband, Warren, when he returned from his service in the Navy during WWII. Thyra and Warren settled in Weymouth where they raised their family. Thyra worked for many years as an Executive Assistant for Curtis Enterprises in Weymouth. She enjoyed reading and knitting but her true passion was spending time with her grandchildren. Thyra was predeceased by her beloved husband Warren A. Andrews and her son Robert W. Andrews. She is survived by her loving children Richard P. Andrews and his wife Patti of Weymouth, David N. Andrews and his wife Susan of Hanson, and the late Robert W. Andrews, her cherished grandchildren Michael, Jeffrey, Lindsay, Jennifer, Ashley, Brittany, and Caitlin, and her three great-grandchildren. Thyra is also survived by her sister Karin Anderson of N.Y. Relatives and friends invited to the graveside service for Thyra on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Blue Hill Cemetery located in Braintree, MA.
