Seymour Russell Obituary

Dr. Seymour W. Russell of Winchester died March 25, 2014 at the Winchester Hospital. He was 94 years of age. Seymour was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts on October 15, 1919, the son of George and Annie (Hartwell) Russell. Seymour was a resident of Winchester for 70 years and is a retired self-employed dentist and began his practice in Winchester in 1946 and it is interesting to note that the facility still operates today. He was a Past President of the Winchester Rotary Club and Past President of the American International College Alumni Assoc., Boston Chapter. He was a veteran of WW II Lt. US Navy where he was a dentist also. He was the beloved husband of the late Rendell Renny (Warren) Russell. Devoted father of Janice Russell of Reading and the late Jeffrey and Judith Nyberg. Cherished brother of Constance Russell Sleeper of Virginia Beach, VA and the late Allan Russell. Loving grandfather of Robert and Rebecca Russell and Christopher and David Nyberg and great grandfather of Max, Gracie, Ellie, Katy, Reilly, and Aaron. Father in-law of Nancy Russell of N. Myrtle Beach SC and Donald Nyberg of CA. His funeral service and burial are private and there are no visiting hours. Dr. Russell was our neighbor for many years in Winchester. He was our dentist and friend.He will be missed by all the McCormack kids.
