William J. Sweeny

William J. Sweeny, of Winchester in Naples, Fla., died suddenly, March 26, 2010. Beloved husband for 43 years to Suzanne (Plante) Sweeny. Loving Father to Suzanne Votapka and her husband Glen of Wellesley, Michelle Siebert and her husband John of Syosset, N.Y., Elizabeth Sweeny of N.Y., N.Y., and Nicole Sweeny of Boston. Loving Grandfather to William, Emily, Andrew and Michael Votapka of Wellesley, Kelly, Reilly and Molly Siebert of Syosset, N.Y. Devoted brother to the late Thomas J. Sweeny of New London, N.H. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Resident of Winchester of 43 years, graduate of Medford High School and Graduate of Holy Cross. He was the president and owner of the Thomas J. Sweeny Insurance Agency in Boston which was founded by his father. Member of the MA Underwriters assoc. Member of the Twin Eagles Country Club in Naples, Fla. and he enjoyed golfing, Skiing, playing bridge and avid reader of historical books. Late U.S. Army WWII Veteran. Bill loved spending time with his family. Funeral from The Lane Funeral Home, 760 Main St. (Rte. 38), WINCHESTER was Tuesday, March 30th at 10 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Eulalias Church 50 Ridge St., Winchester.
