Kenneth T. Jenks

Kenneth T. Jenks, 62, of South Dennis, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. He was the beloved husband of Brenda L. (Donovan) Jenks for 40 years after marrying in 1980. Born in Attleboro, Kenneth was the son of the late William and Constance (Harrop) Jenks. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Brenda, and; their three children, Elizabeth, Victoria and Alexander, and their granddaughter, Sophia. He is also survived by his brothers, Alan and William Jenks, and his sister, Tina and her husband, Mike Ricks. He leaves behind his cherished family including his mother and father-in law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues and community. Kenneth grew up in North Attleboro and graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1976. He earned his Bachelors Degree from The University of Massachusetts, in Amherst and his Masters Degree from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater. Kenneth joined the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District in 1984 as a history teacher. He had many achievements in his rewarding career including serving as President of the Teachers Union, Summer School Principal, Key Club Advisor, Assistant Principal, Principal and Assistant Superintendent. His dedication, enthusiasm and compassion formed the foundation of the legacy he leaves behind. Among his many hobbies, he was an avid photographer. He also enjoyed reading, especially about history, train watching, bird watching, chess, hiking in the woods and walking on the beach. He could always be found cheering on his granddaughter while she played field hockey. Most of all, he was so proud of his family and enjoyed their many memorable moments. Funeral services will be private, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.
