Eileen was the youngest of nine siblings who have all predeceased her: Helen, William, Homer, Reginald, Arnold, Marjorie, Eleanor & Florence. Her mother, Rose Sophia Schug House, 1888 - 1957, was one of five children and an immigrant from Germany. Eileen leaves 31 nieces and nephews in addition to over 125 great-nieces/nephews.
Eileen was a uniquely gifted musician on the organ and piano, often playing sections of the "Messiah" in church, plus composing a multitude of songs. She taught each of her 4 children to play piano and the gift of music is now being passed to the next generations.
Eileen was a talented artist of landscapes, seascapes, birds, flowers, and her beloved family plus chalk art in church; she could sketch a person's profile or face in a few quick strokes! She authored several books including A Little Girl of 1930, A Little Boy of 1930 and Pure Thoughts. She also wrote devotions for "Deaf Missions" for 40 years. History and the family genealogy were a passion for Eileen. However, anyone who talked to her knew quickly that she was most passionate about her faith in God! Eileen is now with her Lord, living the "hope that is within us."
