Glenn Ohler Obituary

Glenn Robert Ohler, age 63, of Eugene, Oregon, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Oregon Health and Science University. Glenn was born on January 30, 1962 to Olivia and Bob Ohler in Detroit, Michigan. In 1972 the family moved to Farwell, Michigan. Glenn excelled on the Farwell ski team and football team. After graduating Farwell High School, Glenn was the first of his family to attend college. He attended Northern Michigan University. Glenn moved to Florida and later attended Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island to become a chef. He relocated to California where he excelled in this profession and made amazing ice carvings. He also had his own catering business. He was very active in marathons, tri-athlete and iron man competitions, along with mountain climbing. In 2003 he married Kass Flaig, who shared his same interests. In 2006 he became a fireman for the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. Glenn spent hours at the beach creating amazing sand art, using a rake and a pole to make the drawings. Glenn is survived by his mother, Olivia, brothers, Gene (Alice) Ohler of St Petersburg, Florida, Rob (Martha) Ohler of Clare, Michigan, his wife Kass of Eugene, Oregon, nieces and nephews James, Nick, Rachel, Ian, and Samantha.
