Don Plew Obituary

Don Plew of Williston, ND passed away Tuesday, February 17th 2026. As per his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held in April 2026. Don was born March 5th 1967, In Richmond CA, to Robert and JoAnn Plew. He was born 1st as a set of twins and 1st is where he forever aimed to be. His life before he left CA was "fast cars, fast women and more money." At 24 he left for Las Vegas. Due to his over confidence, he showed up days late for the job he had and ended up unemployed. He started working at Rebel truck stopped where he met Tina, the women who turned out to be the love of his life and the women that changed his life forever. 3 months later he was driving her and her 4 children back to her home town of Dickinson, ND. The very first winter had him questioning his life choices. He asked Tina to marry him, she said no, twice. Finally on March 16, 1990 they were married. On October 2nd 1992 he adopted all 4 children, Nikki, Dez, Christine and Tyler. Instant Dad! While in Dickinson he worked for Music Hut, where he continued to build his audio legacy. He moved his family to Williston, ND on New Year's Day 1994. He soon began working at Stereo West. He opened a cellular store, One Stop Cellular. His best job came later when he started working at Car Tunz. On December 29th, 2010 he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. It was thought to be terminal but the blasting of chemo got rid of it. Unfortunately, the side effects were going to be life changing and last for the rest of his days. June 16, 2016 he became bionic and had an implant attached to his spine that allowed him to walk without assistance. Unknown to most people, he was in constant pain every day of his life. He didn't share this with to many people and most of his employees and employers had no idea. They didnt even know he smoked. He believed it was a bad image in the business world. A year ago he had back surgery which didnt work and then his shoulder went out. The pain just became more then he could handle. He is so loved and will be missed by many. His wife of 35 years, Tina, his children; Nikki, Dez, Christine and Tyler all of Williston, ND. His adorable grandchildren; Abby (Fabian), Savannah, Kailee, Kennedy, Emily and his only grandson Connor. He also had 3 great grandchildren; Angelina, Novaleigh, and a solo grandson Amias. John and Venita Lampl are his parents but he always said he thought of them as his true parents. Brother in law; John (Sinh Nhat), Jake, Karl. Sister in law, Kim Kay. Nieces and nephews; Nathan (Amy), Amanda, Christopher, Lashia, Jonathan (Madison), Laura Pate, Lavender, Scott (Kayla) Micheal and more. He was loved by those who preceded him; his twin brother David, grandparents from both sides, sister in law Rita, brother in law Leroy, nephews James, Little John.

Don was a great person and a great boss. No matter what kind of day you were having, he was quick to make you laugh. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
