Debra Scherer Obituary

Debra L. Scherer (Radley), 68, formerly of Kenosha, late of Mandan, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Debra was born March 21, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Rosemary V. (Eader) Radley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Calvin David Scherer; her brother, Kenneth C. Radley II; and her niece, Jamie Rose Taylor.

Debra attended school in Columbus, Ohio, and Kenosha, and graduated from Bradford High School. She worked at a nursing home and a car wash before starting her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel A. Leigh of North Dakota; her sister, Pamela R. (Cecil) Gough of Kenosha; her nephews, Stephen D. (April) Taylor and Jonathon D. Gough; and several extended family members and friends. She is also survived by her cat, Ms. Kitty Cat.

Debra was a Packers, Brewers, Cubs, and Wrestling fan. She enjoyed wearing flannel shirts, collecting T-shirts, attending live music, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and caring for her cats. Some of her favorite shows and movies were The Andy Griffith Show, Friends, Little House on the Prairie, Elvis, Titanic, Twister, Independence Day, Jurassic Park, Jurassic World Dominion, Grease, Beaches, and Just Between Friends.

Debra was a beautiful and smart human being. We will dearly miss her and keep Debra's smile, laughter, bravery, compassion, gratefulness, generosity, gentleness, and kindness in our hearts forever. We love Debra forever and ever and know we will see her again.

A service and celebration of life will be held this summer, her favorite season.
