Frances Dolores Dunn passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born in Jessup, Pennsylvania, and moved to Mount Vernon, New York, at the age of 12. There, she met her beloved husband, James Anthony Dunn. They married in 1955 and settled in Wilton, Connecticut, where they raised their daughters, Patricia and Paula.
Jim and Frances shared a devoted marriage of 54 years until Jim's passing in 2009. They were proud to be among the close-knit group of early families who helped establish Our Lady of Fatima Parish, where Frances gave generously of her time - assisting with offertory collections, providing transportation for elderly parishioners, and volunteering wherever she was needed.
In addition to being a loving and supportive mother, Frances enjoyed a fulfilling career as a secretary and bookkeeper, first at General Foods and later at Richardson-Vicks, from which she retired.
Frances was known for her warmth, kindness, and willingness to help. She became an active and cherished member of every community she joined. For the past 13 years, she made her home at Ogden House, where she was always ready to lend a hand, enjoy a friendly conversation, or join a lively game of Mexican Dominoes.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Kautz and Paula Dunn (Sascha Griffing); her grandchildren, Timothy Kautz and his wife, Crystal; Dylan Griffing-Dunn; and Kaiya Griffing-Dunn; and her four great-grandchildren, Deacon (Angelee) Kautz; Lilian Cataldo; Damion and Josslyn Kautz. She is also survived by her sister, Theresa Nordone and her husband, Frank, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton, Connecticut. Burial and reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima memorial fund.
