Aubrey Ingalls Obituary

Aubrey Eugene (Gene) Ingalls of Wimberley, Texas passed from this life into eternal life on April 18, 2024 at the age of 84.

He was born September 18, 1939 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patsy Karen O'Connor Ingalls; his son Ricki Gene Ingalls and wife Lynn; and his daughters Cynthia Ingalls Hicks and husband Don; Sherry Ingalls Morris and husband Keith; and Melissa Ingalls Rowan and husband Colin. Fourteen grandchildren. Fourteen Great-grandchildren. Numerous extended family members and friends.

After a long career and many moves, Gene and Karen retired to Wimberley in 2006. A strong, quiet soul, Gene loved his Lord and his family with all he had. He also loved spending time on the golf course and was blessed to enjoy it often in retirement.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Wimberley, 15951 Winters Mill Parkway, Wimberley, TX 78676. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Gene's honor to The Carpenters Helpers Inc. of Wimberley. thecarpentershelpers.com

By far the best boss I ever had. A thoughtful teacher and also taskmaster, by my witness he treated everyone with respect and dignity. Encyclopedic knowledge of concrete and industrial process. Great sense of humor too. We lost a treasure. RIP Gene.
