Linda Hudson Obituary

Linda Henry Hudson, 82, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2023 after a lengthy stay in nursing care. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 16, 1941 to the late Rex and Maxine Hudson.

Linda grew up in Houston and was a graduate of Lamar High School class of 1959, Newcomb-Tulane University graduating class of 1964. During her high school years, she was a Houston debutante and in college a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, where she served as president of her chapter.

Linda pursued a Master's Degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and began a career as a therapist with HISD.

In the mid 80's, Linda got her real estate license and began her new career as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker. She was extremely successful and became a co-owner of Swilley-Hudson & Associates in the Inner-Loop. She was a long-time member of the School Art Committee for the HLSR.

Linda lived life to its fullest! She loved to travel and explore new places... moving to Wimberley, Texas in later life, then her favorite spot Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Linda is survived by her sister, Suzan H. Caire and husband John, niece Lauren Walsh Scott and husband Kyle, nephew Greg F. Walsh IV, and great nephew Logan Palmer. Her brother Rex E. Hudson, Jr. and wife Fran, nephew Rex E, Hudson III and wife Elizabeth.

The family is especially grateful to Kevin Gilley, her lifelong friend for his love and devotion to our sister, Livier Golden for her caring heart, and the kind staff at Legend Oaks Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Kyle, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial gifts be made to St. Bede's Episcopal 550 W. San Mateo Rd. Santa Fe, NM 87505
