Brett Ward Obituary

Brett A. Ward, 64, of Winchester, Indiana, passed away on September 22, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Brett was born on April 25, 1958 to the late Kenneth Ward and Norma (Hinshaw) Rouch.
Brett and Karen (Anderson) Ward married on October 20, 1984. They are the proud parents to Cierra (David) Fisher and Brock (Michelle) Ward, 3 grandchildren, Hadley Fisher, Hazel Fisher, and Bennett Ward, who he loved dearly; his mother and step father, Norma and Bob Rouch; brothers, Kent (Michele) Ward and Bart (Shelly) Ward; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was employed for 24+ years at Warner Gear and most recently retired from Omega Enterprises as a Mould Maker. Brett loved spending time with his family, playing golf with friends, and working out at the gym.
Brett was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Ward; and sister, Sheila Ward.
A celebration of Brett's life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 with calling hours from 2-6 p.m. and with a memorial service to follow at 6:00p.m., at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Cancer Services of Randolph County, 133 N. Meridian St., Winchester, IN 47394, St. Vincent Randolph Hospital Foundation, 473 E Greenville Ave, Winchester, IN 47394, or Reid Health Foundation for Cancer Care, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, Indiana 47374.
The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers who care for Brett during his illness.

It's hard to put into words how sorry I am to have just found out about Brett. My heart goes out to most sincerely. I just lost one of my brothers to cancer in June after a 12 year battle. It is a very horrible disease that is so hard on the whole family. I only wish I could say or do. All the respect in the world to u and the family Karen. Dusty Bradburn
