David Douglas "Doug" Brumfield

1964 - 2021

David Douglas "Doug" Brumfield, 56, of Winchester, IN died Monday, June 7, 2021. He was born in Winchester on August 11, 1964 to David and Nancy (Keys) Brumfield. Doug graduated from Union City Community High School in 1983 and from Purdue University with a degree in Ag Econ in 1987. On August 13, 1988, he married Judy (Kirschner) Brumfield. Doug was a 7th generation farmer who took pride in farming his family's land. He was associated with Harvest Land Coop for 20+ years first as a grain merchandiser and later as a board member. He loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved finding a good bargain, eating, and spending time with those that he loved. He was a lifelong member of Jericho Friends Church.

Survivors include his parents, David and Nancy Brumfield, his wife of 32 years, Judy, his father and mother-in-law, Tom and Doris Kirschner, children; Ben (Rachel) Brumfield, Rachel (Nick) Brumfield, sister Anne (Mike) Higgins, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family members.?
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Neil and Kathleen Brumfield, and Kenneth and Marcella Keys.
?The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Reichard Funeral Home, 400 W. Deerfield Road, Union City, IN 47390.

A funeral service to celebrate Doug's life will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:30 am at Jericho Friends Church 4010 E. 100 S. Winchester, IN 47394. Burial will follow in Jericho cemetery.
