Jack Hines Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jack Hines, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, who joined the heavenly choir on February 24, 2025. Jack, a charismatic and loving soul, was born on August 30, 1924, in Anderson, Indiana. His life was a testament to the biblical verse, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16).
Jack served his country honorably in the United States Navy, in the South Pacific, during World War II. His love of country and community continued throughout his entire life.
Jack was a thoughtful individual who cherished his faith and family above all else. He served as a minister and later worked as an engineer at Avco. However, his first love was always the ministry. Jack's home in Lynn, Indiana, where he resided for 75 years, was a welcoming refuge where he and his wife, Barbara, would regularly open their doors to share in ministry. A captivating individual, Jack's hobbies included fishing, gardening, traveling, and mowing. He attended the Lynn Friends Church for 18 years, integrating his love for his faith into his daily routine.
Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara Hines; his son, Ed (Connie) Hines; his step-son, Jack (Dee) Culbertson; four grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Eva Hines; two wives, Thelma (Moore) and Judy (Forsyth); five sisters; four brothers; his daughter, Deanna Davis; his step-daughter, Debbie Wickersham; his granddaughter, Jackie Stewart; two great-grandsons, and one granddaughter.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Friends Church. A celebration of Jack's life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the church, with Pastor Eugene Smith, of Northern Ireland. A Military Honor Guard will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Quaker Lynn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Richmond Hospice and/or Lynn Friends Church for Quaker Haven Church Camp. Envelopes will be provided at the church.
In celebrating Jack's life, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos to his memorial page at www.wilsonshookfh.com. In doing so, we keep his spirit alive and honor the legacy of love and faith that he leaves behind.

What a beautiful testimony ! I don't know and never met Rev. Hines, but I'm sure it would have been a blessing.
