Larry Lennington Obituary

Larry (Moe) Lennington, 80, of Winchester passed away peacefully at his home on October 20, 2024, surrounded by his incredible family. Moe was born on October 11, 1944 to Francis and Ralph Lennington.
Moe graduated from Lee L. Driver High School in 1962 and served six years in the Army Reserves. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in May of 1989.
Moe was an avid sports and marching band fan. He was usually the loudest fan in the stands! Moe was a coach to his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. One of "Coach Pa's" favorite things was to assist his grandson in coaching baseball. In the 1980's he was known as "Darth Vader" to the Force of Winchester Marching Show Band of which both of his daughters participated.
Moe never knew a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley. His daughter Robin Stephens and her partner, Jim Swallow; his daughter Heather Lennington, his grandson, Cameron Stephens and his wife, Cortney and their children, William and Hensleigh; his granddaughter, Alyson Allen and her husband, Eric and their children, Patrick Fulton, Braxton Fulton, and Logan Allen; his sisters, Debra Donley and Marjorie Cline and a whole bunch of nieces and nephews and extended family all survive.
Moe was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Ron and Tom Lennington, his sister, Edith Brimson, and his great-grandson and apple of his eye, Jackson Rae Allen. When Moe met Jackson in Heaven, some serious baseball and rock, paper, scissors started.
Visitation for Coach Pa will be on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 4:00 p.m.until 7:00 p.m at Glad Tidings Church, 3100 S. Burlington Dr, Muncie, or from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Glad Tidings Church, 3100 S. Burlington Drive, Muncie. Graveside Services will be at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga, IN.
If you wish to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, one of Pa's favorite causes was the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, at 341 Erkenbracher Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45229. Please earmark your contribution in memory of Jackson Rae Allen.
