Ty Harmon Obituary

Ty Andrew Harmon, 37, of Muncie, IN completed his journey on earth, Monday, February 9, 2015. He has gone where he will now find what he needs, what is always there: an infinite love and energy. He was unique and a special gift from God. We give God thanks for Ty's life and he will live in our hearts, forever.
He was born May 20, 1977 in Randolph County, IN the son of Bob A. and Marlene (Oliver) Harmon. He was a graduate of Monroe Central High School and received his Associates Degree, in Criminal Justice, from Vincennes University.
Ty had been an EMT in Albany, IN and was a past manager of Alpha Computers of Muncie, IN. He had worked in heating and cooling and also at Tan-U Very Much in Muncie. While in high school, he helped at the school with maintenance. He enjoyed working with Juveniles at Southern Indiana Rehabilitation Correctional Facility. He enjoyed spending his leisure time fishing, camping, rafting and cooking.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marlene Mingetti (husband, Joseph) of Muncie, IN; a brother, Kristopher Harmon of Muncie, IN; a step-sister, April Widger (husband, Lee) of Houston, Texas; his step-mother, Gloria Sailers of Muncie, IN; two nephews, Leo and Liam; a niece, Aligha; his companion, Kevin Froy; Uncles and Aunts, Tom and Carolyn Richards of Hollandsburg, OH and Linda Hyre of Winchester; special friends, Ben and Suzanne Armstrong of Farmland, IN, Sherry and Steve Lovell of Florida, Debbie Gray and Family, and Kimberly Gray Friend of Indianapolis, IN; and many other Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Coby Allen Harmon; grandparents, Dale and Martha Harmon, and Bud and Mildred Oliver; and his beloved canine friends, Titus and Asia.
A service to celebrate Ty's life will be 6:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN. Cremation will follow. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4:00 pm to service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Thornburg Memorial Chapel of Parker City, IN to assist with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
