Robert Abell Obituary
Uncle Bob was born in Oshkosh on April 25, 1933, the son of the Edward C. and Peg Abell. Bob attended Fox Valley Technical College and was a graduate of the Monroe Institute. For 44 years he was employed by Gilbert Paper Company. He was a former member of The Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 186, Winneconne; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Green Bay; Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Tripoli Temple, Milwaukee; and Winnebagoland Shrine Club, Oshkosh.
Bob was a Master Gardener, enjoying working in his yard and his many years of activities and volunteer work with the Master Garden Share and Garden Club in Wautoma. He loved travelling, reading, and entertaining family and friends at his lake home in Mt. Morris.
Survivors include: his nieces, Peg Gierke, Winneconne; Pam Daczyk, Allenville; great-niece, Jackie (Paul) Schulz; great-great-nieces, Victoria Palkovich Albright and Lauren Neabling; great- great-nephew, Brody Schultz. He is also survived by his special "kids", Randy and Linda Vollrath; and wonderful cousins and friends.
Uncle Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie (Jim) Soley; brother, Richard; brothers-in-law, Fred Gierke and Don Daczyk; and great-nephew, Jimmy Daczyk.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Mueller Funeral Home 904 E. Main St. Winneconne. A service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. After the service a luncheon will be provided at Off the Wolf Supper Club in Winneconne. Cremation will follow and private inurnment will be at a later date at Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Waushara Animal Shelter, The Shriner's, or St. Jude's in Uncle Bob's name.
