Michael Allen Szczepanski
Michael Allen Szczepanski was born February 27, 1957 to John and Joan (Heftman) Szczepanski in Winona, MN. Mike grew up with a love for race cars, with drag racing most of his life with family and friends.
Michael married his true love Connie (Strong) Szczepanski on September 19, 1987. Together they had two sons John Szczepanski of Denver, CO and Jared (Jessica) Szczepanski of Flagstaff, AZ.
Mike is survived by two sisters, Sheila (Mike) Kujak of Waukesha, WI and their children, Ryan and Brenna (Joe) Pollack. Deb (Mike) Werle of Winona, MN with their children, Sarah, Katie, and Sam along with many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his father, John and mother, Joan.
As a family they traveled and drag raced throughout the country, Mike had a love for building drag racing and vintage cars his entire life including the famous Tokyo Rose car, of George Cureton. Mike had many friends throughout his life including the famous Thursday night garage crew that were the friendships of a lifetime.
Mike was employed by Western Wisconsin Technical College as a Welding Instructor for over 20 years with contracts to Trane Company La Crosse, WI. Mike will be remembered as an amazing husband, father, and friend, along with a very talented fabricator and welder.
Visitation for Mike will be on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN from 4:00-6:00 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. following the visitation. Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
