Alice Gregory Obituary

Gregory, Alice

December 6, 1926 - December 8, 2022

Beloved mother to Thomas Earl Gregory Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Lawrence Wayne Gregory (Chris) of Acworth, Georgia, James Robert Gregory, Winston-Salem, NC, Susan Gregory Stovall (Tony), whom she loved all beyond measure. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Thomas Earl Gregory Sr. Alice lived and loved life to the fullest. Born and raised in Drexel Hill, PA, Alice met the love of her life at a Navy dance, and the rest is history.

Alice enjoyed being active in St. Leo's Catholic Church and was the president of St. Theresa's Guild for many years. She also was president of the Newcomers Club of Winston-Salem, when first arriving to Winston-Salem in 1958.

Alice and Tom were fortunate to travel the world as well as just getting together with her friends and play a "good hand" at bridge. She was also proud to become a grandmother to Kristen Gregory of Nashville, Tim and Anna Gregory of Georgia, Thomas Earl Gregory III (Tommy) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Isabella Gregory of Los Angeles, CA and Alice Christine Stovall-Beaver (Christy--who is named after her) and husband Tyler Beaver of Lexington, NC.

She was especially thrilled with her great-grandchildren Thomas Scott Beaver (Tommy) and Lucas Tyler Beaver (Luke).

Alice often said, "I've had a wonderful life, just like a fairy tale."

The family would like to recognize the wonderful care of all the Trellis staff.

There will be a true celebration of life at the home to be announced at a later date.

What a lovely woman. I knew Alice when I was very young (Darlene DeVita) and always remember her with a warm smile & kindness. Also her style! I have a memory of Alice in embroidered pants. I think were in FLA. Much love to the family.
