Almeta Brantley Obituary

Mrs. Almeta Wall Brantley, 87, of Lexington, NC went to be with her Lord & Savior on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center. Born July 5, 1938, in Forsyth County, to Charlie Monroe and Gladys Fulp Wall, Almeta grew up in Winston-Salem and retired from AT&T in 2000. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling around the country with Roy & friends and spending time with her family. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Welcome, NC where she enjoyed many activities over the years and where she leaves many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Brantley; her son, Jeff White; and her sister, Marie Bennett.

Left to cherish the memories are her daughter, Mrs. Tammy Marlowe and husband, Steve; granddaughter, Stephanie McCain (Matt); grandson, Zachary Marlowe (Tyra); and her newest pride & joy, great-grandson, Tucker McCain - all of Charlotte, NC.

The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m. Sunday, September 7th, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Welcome, 404 Welcome Arcadia Road, Lexington, NC 27295. A celebration of life will follow at 3:00 with Rev. Mark Blair and Rev. Christopher Griggs officiating. A private burial will follow.
