Anita "Anne" Miller Taylor, 66, died Sunday, April 30, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Forsyth County to the late Charles Eugene and Ethel Pauline Owens Miller. Anne was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church. Her passion was her rose garden. Surviving are her ex-husband, Donald L. Taylor of Winston-Salem; her two sons, Donald Scott Taylor Sr. and wife Dee of Goldsboro and David Lee Taylor of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Donald Scott Taylor Jr., USAF, Deeona and Devin Taylor of Goldsboro and Megan Thorne of Hickory; and a sister, Jessie Mae Whitaker and husband Gray of Kernersville. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tim Hicks and the Rev. Kasey Moore Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, May 2, at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be directed to Gospel Light Baptist Church, 890 Walkertown-Guthrie Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
