Mrs. Beulah McMillan Roseborough passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2004. She was born May 16, 1905, in Cumberland County to Archie and Mary Ann McMillan. Mrs. Roseborough gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for more than 67 years. She was an active member of the Amanda Galloway Aid Society and the Home Missionary Aide Society and served two terms as president of the Pastor Aide Society. She worked for Winston-Salem Leaf Tobacco Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Roseborough; and her son, Joseph C. Roseborough. Mrs. Roseborough leaves to mourn her six children, Wade (Lorraine) Roseborough of the city, Leretha R. Pankey of the city, Vera Roseborough of the city, Dermetta (Calvin) Jones of Indianapolis, Ind., Haywood (Zelma) Roseborough of Birmingham, Ala., and Dorothy R. Hunter of the city; a devoted granddaughter of the home, Lisa Roseborough; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Dr. Vernon C. Crump III will officiate, and burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to and services conducted by Gilmore Funeral Home Services. (Gilmore)
