Billy King Obituary

KING WINSTON-SALEM - Mr. Billy Ray "Bilco" King, age 76, of Winston-Salem died Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born in Forsyth County on March 22, 1933 to William King and Sallie Tilley King. He was retired City employee, and also worked at the Hall of Justice. He enjoyed playing softball for many years. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Hazel Newson, Bernice Tuttle and Mary Hawks, brothers, Bobby King and step-brother James King. Survived by his wife-Jean Clark King of the home, daughters Billie McCrary and husband Greg of Lexington, Penny Propst and husband Timothy of King. Grandchildren Christopher Pegram and Brandon Pegram. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Salem Funeral Home. Memorials may be made Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
