Billy Wiles Obituary

WILES WALNUT COVE - Mr. Billy Ray "Satch" Wiles, 73, went home to be with his Lord Friday, July 10, 2009. He was born in Stokes County to Robie Arthur and Lillie Tatum Wiles. He was a United States Air Force veteran, retired from Coke-Cola Consolidated with 35 years service and loved NASCAR racing. He was an active member of Willow Oak Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and loved his church family. Billy was preceded in death by his father; his son, Terry Wiles; and his twin brother, Bobby Wiles. He is survived by his mother; his wife of 48 years, Charlotte Hazelwood Wiles; special extended family members, A. J. Sensabaugh, Traci Brown, Esther Robbins, Tracy Cheek and their families; and his buddies at the local restaurants. A 4:00 p.m. funeral service will be held Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Willow Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Willis, Rev. Gary Lovette, Rev. Timothy Spencer, and Rev. Randy Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church and other times at the home of Mrs. Lillie Wiles. An 11:00 a.m. graveside service will be held Monday, July 13, 2009 in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Willow Oak Baptist Church Youth, c/o Myra Bowman, P O Box 705, Walnut Cove, NC 27052 or to The Gideons International, Stokes East Camp, P O Box 1167, Walnut Cove, NC 27052. Burroughs Funeral Home is serving the Wiles family.
