Bob French Obituary

French, Bob

Mr. Robert "Bob" Edgar French, 85, of Mt. Airy, passed into God's presence at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home on February 4th, 2021. He was born in Forsyth County to the late Hubert and Almena French. Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Dot) Shutt French; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Mark Thacker; granddaughter, Emily Hilyard and husband Richard; great granddaughters, Ava and Lily; along with many loved extended family members. The Frenches owned and operated French, Inc. until their retirement in 1998. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years, where he served as a deacon, children's Sunday School teacher, greeter, and softball coach. Bob's legacy was evidenced through the way he lived his life, his kindness, generosity, and genuine desire to help others. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, 2:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, with the family receiving friends in the lobby beginning at 1:00 PM, as well as following the service. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com. My dad, Charlie (Buddy) Pfaff was a good friend of Bob´s back in the `40´s through the `70´s. He always thought a lot of Bob and admired the way he lived his life. Sending prayers to you all.
