Carla Ann Cates of Kernersville, born in Winston-Salem May 7, 1958, passed away Friday June 20, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, father Harverd Cates, Mother Rosa Lee Lawson Barron and son John Comer. Carla was a graduate of West Forsyth High School. She worked at Northwest Financial. She is survived by her daughter Stacie Cates, sister Sandy Eller, brother Pete Cates, stepfather John Barron, nephews Michael Eller, Matt Eller niece Megan Eller and special friend Steve. Special thanks to Dr. Waits, nurses and Aids at Woltz Hospice Home. Entrusted to Spencer Funeral Home.
