Charissa Salley Green was born on February 23, 1958 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Joseph and Dorothy M. Salley. She departed from this earthly life on November 13, 2025. She was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public schools and a Carver High School graduate. She furthered her education in the medical field obtaining a degree in Medical Assisting. She worked in health care for many years, where her passion and generosity shined. She was a proud member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, where she found strength and fellowship. Charissa leaves behind a family who will forever hold her memory close: her only child, Chonti (Christopher) Williams; grandson, Chrichon Williams; sisters, Tanya Johnson and Deidris Reynolds; brothers, Joseph (Peggy) Salley, Chris Salley of California, and Charles (Parcilla) Salley of Chester, VA; aunt, Wivona Murray Ward of Virginia Beach, VA; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 950 File Street, Winston-Salem, NC with family visitation at 11:30 a.m. (Clark S. Brown & Sons)
