Macemore, Charles Edward "Eddie"

Charles Edward "Eddie" Macemore passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 82. He was born to Clay and Opal Macemore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ronnie Macemore and Tommie Macemore. Sixty-four years ago, he married Carol Williams Macemore, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Tammie (Bill) Arrowood of Yadkinville; a son, Stephen (Kristy) Macemore of Winston-Salem; three grandchildren, Drew Arrowood of Raleigh, NC, Katelyn (Jon) Sacek of Raleigh, and Miranda (Keith) Weaver of Cleveland, NC; and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Ronan Sacek. Eddie graduated from Piedmont Bible College in 1964 with a bachelor's degree in religious education and in 1967 he received his bachelor of theology degree. He did further studies at Guilford College. For many years he worked in the insurance and financial business as an estate planner, where he made many wonderful friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Andy Lambert, Rev. James Williams, and Stephen Macemore officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cross Friends Church. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Macemore family. So sorry Carol, Tammie, Stephen and family for the loss of Eddie. I knew him and his brother s when their Dad held revivals at No.Oak Ridge Bpt. Church many years ago. Worked with Opal at WE. Prayers and thoughts for all the family.

Carol, Tammie, Stephen & family, I was so sorry to read of Eddie´s passing. His Mother Opal and my grandmother Willie were sisters. Eddie officiated at my wedding in 1976 at Bethel Baptist Church. He always had interesting family stories to share with me. Praying for the family.

I have known Eddie for many years. I can remember when he would come and preach at Bethel Baptist, where is father, Clay, was the pastor. This was in the 70's and 80's. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with the entire family. Go rest high on that mountain, RIP Eddie
