Charles Middleton Obituary

MIDDLETON KING - Charles H. Middleton, Jr., 67, died Saturday, September 25, 2010. He was born December 22, 1942 in Forsyth County to the late Charles Herbert Middleton, Sr. and Mary Elma Welch Middleton. Charles had a lifelong love of all automobile racing. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two step-children, Sherry Riggs, and Rocky Duggins. Surviving are his wife, Rachel Tuttle Middleton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kim Middleton, and Tony and Alisha Middleton; a daughter and two sons-in-law, Angela and Mike Tucker, and Tommy Riggs; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Billy Middleton and wife, Betty, and Bobby Middleton and wife, Kay. Although there will be no formal visitation everyone is welcome to attend a Graveside Service that will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at the Salem Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Chapel Christian Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 1085, Walnut Cove, NC 27052. (Slate Funeral Home).

Rachel and Family, I am very sorry to hear about Charles. I remember all the good times we had at the races! I was always the "tag along" with Bobby and Kaye. I think about you often and will continue to do so with thoughts and prayers.
