Ms. Clara Hobson Hine, 89, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born October 27, 1935, in Yadkin County to the late Buford Monroe Hobson and Eloise Lillian Brown Hobson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Denny Ray Hobson; two sisters-in-law, Linda Lane Hobson, Barbara Davis Hobson. Ms. Hine was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She was a very caring person, helping take care of her neighbors. Ms. Hine loved her K9 companions and was always welcoming to strays. She is survived by her brothers, Dan Hobson, Kenneth Gray Hobson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 13, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the church with Rev. Kenny Gooden and Rev. Richard Odom officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
