I was very saddened when a friend called me last night to tell me of Tim's passing. I had the pleasure of competing against Tim in his heyday in CPGA events and was extremely proud to follow him as Player of the Year in 1985. He was a true gentleman and a fine friend. May he rest in peace.

I was Tim's brother in law for years. I first met him when he began to date my sister. He was about four years ahead of me at Va. Tech and we shared one class in the spring of "69 - archery. Time didn't come often - that was the height of the golf schedule but it was very cool for me, a freshman, to know a famous senior. Tim was a gentle soul and always friendly and open - qualities that carried him far in life. Tim always shared his knowledge of golf readily and gave me a few pointers. I was there that day in 1985 when he was inducted into the VT Hall of Fame - it was very meaningful and meant a lot to many people. Tim never gave up and was always positive in golf and it served him well. I am saddened at his passing but secure in the knowledge that he is free of the worn out physical body and happy to be in Spirit with his loved ones who are there for him. Grieve not for him, he is just as well as always, it is in us that he has diminished and wish not he be back in that body as worn as it was. Rejoice that he is free, among friends and celebrating a new existence in Spirit where we will rejoin him all too soon. He is Free! Rejoice!

I am saddened to hear of our loss of Tim. His absence has left me with the memory of being fortunate enough to play a few rounds of golf with him in. He was a great guy and I trust the memories will be of comfort to you. I am praying for the family. Mac Crouch

I am so sorry to hear about Tim. We were raised two streets apart, and all of our school class mates were very close. He was a winner, and I know he will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his family, Mary Alice Hall Webster
