David Franklin Wall Sr.

WALL SALISBURY Mr. David Franklin Wall, Sr. 80, formerly of Winston-Salem, died Monday, November 15, 2010 in Salisbury. The son of Annie and Garland Wall, he was born July 4, 1930 in Greensboro. He spent his early life in Winston-Salem where he was educated in the public schools. A Marine Corp veteran, he served in the Korean Conflict. In 1963, Mr. Wall began his career with DFW Supply Co., Inc., retiring as President. He was a member of First Christian Church in Winston-Salem and was a Mason with Salem Lodge #289. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Edman Wall. Surviving are a son, David F. Wall, Jr. of Winston-Salem; two step-daughters: Jackie Venable Thommen of Calabash, NC and Susan Workman Quilty of Boynton Beach, FL; and a sister, Jane Beroth and hus-band, Robert, of Clemmons. A Masonic and Military graveside service will be held Thursday, November 18, at 11:00 a.m. in Forsyth Memorial Park. Dr. Mike Simpson will officiate. The family will receive friends at First Christian Church, 2320 Country Club Road., after the graveside service.
