Mr. Dennis Pardue, age 63 of Yadkinville passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.
Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Mr. Seth Baker and Mr. Cam Finley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Dennis was born November 29, 1959 in Wilkes County to Reece Arlie and Naydell Sebastian Pardue.
Dennis was a person of faith, love, generosity and patriotism. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor. He could take the most mundane situation and make others laugh. Dennis typically had a smile on his face as he navigated life's ups and downs. His return address on Christmas and birthday cards typically read "Johnny Cash", "Elvis Presley", "Michael Jackson", etc. He was sentimental, cherishing meaningful gifts always over expensive gifts. Dennis enjoyed the simple pleasures of life to the fullest extent. He was a Christian and was not afraid to share his faith with others. He served others by his many acts of kindness by helping anyone he saw in need. Dennis did not hesitate to meet the needs of those less fortunate, literally giving the shoes off his feet on occasion. He shared his love for music by ministering to the local nursing home with his guitar in hand with a servant's heart. Dennis was the life of the party. His outgoing personality and wit drew others to him. He never met anyone that he could not
strike up a conversation with. Dennis was happiest when listening to music, playing his guitar, singing, attending Merle Fest, riding four wheelers, fishing at the outer banks, dancing, kayaking down the New River, shooting off fireworks, sitting by a campfire, eating "country cooking" and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis James Pardue, Jr.
