Elaine Katherine Kerr Weller, age 94, a resident of Piedmont Crossing Retirement Center entered her eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ on July 13, 2025 in Thomasville, NC. When Elaine and Nelson moved to Winston-Salem in addition to volunteering at Old Salem as a docent, she answered phones for WFDD radio station and worked for Gay and Taylor Insurance Adjustors.

Elaine was predeceased in death by her parents and her brother, Bruce Kerr. She is survived by her husband, Nelson, her son, Paul and wife, Paula, two grandchildren, Ramsey and Rachel Cardwell, and three nieces, Susan, Terry, and Patricia.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Memory Care Unit at Piedmont Crossing for their wonderful care of Elaine over the past ten months.

Nelson, I share with you in your. loneliness and loss. Indeed, you and Elaine were blessed to be together for longer than a lifetime, in reality. I'm certain that your hope is the blessed hope of meeting again in a far better place. May Christ the Lord make that faith real, that it may be lost in sight one day. Find genuine comfort in the Scriptures, my friend! I am here for you, if I can be of any consolation.
