Freida Moss Snyder, age 91, died Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston Salem, NC.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Aberdeen First Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Cornett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., at the church before the service. Burial will follow the service at Bethesda Cemetery.

Freida was born September 29, 1932, in Hoke County to the late Debbie Lee Moss and Sarah Louise Ragsdale Moss. She was a graduate of Hoke County High School and later Meredith College where she obtained her degree in Elementary Education. She taught at several area elementary schools following her graduation. Most of her work career centered around her husband, Ray's Dental practice where she was the office manager and counselor. Freida was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who was well known for her immaculate home and wonderful family meals. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, and six sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Kenneth "Ray" Snyder, Sr.; a daughter, Lisa Snyder West (James), of Winston Salem; a son, Kenneth R. Snyder, Jr., of Winston Salem; a brother, Zeb Moss (Evelyn), of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Heather Howard, Amber Canter (fiancé Adam Poteat), Mandy West; great-grandchildren, Braydon, Scarlet, Alyssa, Walker, William, and Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aberdeen First Baptist Church, 700 N. Sandhills Blvd., Aberdeen, NC 28315.
