George Wishon Obituary

WISHON YADKINVILLE - A beloved father, brother, and grandfather, George Franklin Wishon, Sr. passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Yadkin nursing Center. Mr. Wishon was born May 9, 1916 to the late Ike & Ada Wilkins Wishon. He was of the Baptist faith and was a TV Repairman for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruth (Gurney) Miller; a brother, Elbert Wishon; and a great-grandson, Jesse (Bubba) McEwen. Surviving are his children: Junior (Donna) Wishon, Robert Wishon, Marie Wishon; two sisters Virginia Wishon, Marie (Ralph) Carter; a brother, Jack Wishon; sister-in-law, Alice Wishon; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 10 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Gentry Family Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Zack King. Burial will follow at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.gentry funeralservice.com. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wishon family.
