Grace Pardue Obituary

PARDUE MOCKSVILLE Grace Eskridge Pardue Jan. 11, 1939 -April 12, 2012 Mrs. Grace Eskridge Pardue, 73, of Lakeview Road, died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born January 11, 1939, in Wilkes County, NC to the late Solon Thomas and Gladys Adams Eskridge. She retired from Star Furniture with 22 years of service. Mrs. Pardue was a member of Ijames Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jennifer and Jill Woodward and Christopher Budd. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jones Olin Pardue of the home; three children, Michael Pardue (Mary) of Charlotte, Sherry Woodward (Joe) of Troutman and Karen Swicegood (Todd) of Mocksville; six grandchildren, Alex Pardue, Matthew Woodward (Lissa), Jaclyn Woodward and Nathan, Jordan and Nicholas Budd; a sister, Linda Eudy (Mike) and a brother, Jack Eskridge all of Statesville and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Eaton Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joe Woodward officiating. Interment will follow in Ijames Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. They request that memorials be considered for Cross Trail Outfitters, P.O. Box 706, Plymouth, NC 27962. Olin, Michael, Sherry, Karen and your families, my heart goes out to you! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be there, but my thoughts and prayers were, and are, with you. Grace was a wonderful,loving person and aunt and I will always remember her kind caring ways and that beautiful smile that she shared with everyone! She and Olin raised 3 wonderful,and beautiful, children. We were all blessed to have known such a great lady! If there is ANYTHING I or the rest of my family can do to help or ease your pain, please let us know We Love You ALL
