Mr. Greg Ray Pendleton, 68, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away Sunday morning, September 8, 2024, at his home. He was born April 28, 1956, in Cleveland County.
Greg retired from the City of Winston-Salem, where he served 28 years as a heavy trucking operator. He enjoyed spending time at his home with his family, listening to old music, sitting on the porch, and watching drag racing and wrestling. He also enjoyed old cars.
Mr. Pendleton is survived by his five children, Kristal Pendleton, J.R. Pendleton, James Pendleton, Shelby Pendleton, and April Pendleton; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat and Pam; two brothers, Scott and Ricky; many nieces and nephews; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard "Red" and Doris "Dot" VanHorn Pendleton.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 12 p.m., at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Kelly Hartman officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons, NC.
In honor of Greg the family requests donations be made to Well Care Hospice, 146 Dornach Way, Advance, NC 27006. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is respectfully serving the family of Mr. Pendleton.
