Helen Fleming Obituary

Fleming, Helen B.

June 22, 1922 - March 6, 2023

Helen B. Fleming, 100, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on June 22, 1922, in Franklin, Pa., an only child to Edna and Karl Bonham.

In 1944 she married the love of her life Robert L. Fleming of Oil City, Pa. They eventually moved to Warren, Ohio, where they became members of the First Presbyterian Church in Warren, and the Trumbull Country Club. Helen was an active golfer. Always interested in the arts, she took many drawing and painting classes. She loved reading, kitty cats, watching old movies, and delicious desserts.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her daughter, Mary Ann Fleming. She is survived by her daughter Virginia Sidells of Berkeley, Calif., and her granddaughter Dr. Margaret Sidells of Portland, Ore.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, Salemtowne Rehab, and Brookdale Senior Living who provided Helen with excellent care during her final days.

Helen had many wonderful friends during her life, and to them she sends her love. We will miss her very much, along with her smile that lit up her beautiful blue eyes.
