James Lassiter Obituary

Mr. James Harrison Lassiter, Jr of Fort Lauderdale, Florida died at his home Tuesday morning, September 9, 2025. He was born July 2, 1940 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was the son of the late James Harrison Lassiter and Mabel Healy Lassiter.

Mr. Lassiter graduated from Woodberry Forest School in 1958 and Yale University in 1962. After college, Mr. Lassiter moved to New York for banking and advertising positions. After several years in the advertising business, he joined ISD Incorporated, a leading New York corporate interior space design firm, where he served as a Partner and worked on office projects around the country. He ended his working career as President of The Lassiter Company, engaged in various interior design projects. He finally left New York for retirement in Ft. Lauderdale.

Harrison is survived by his loving and devoted family: Jack Czapla, Gail Lassiter Malin, Allen Lassiter (Mary Ann), and Bob Lassiter (Jane). A private memorial service for family will be held at Salem Cemetery at a later date.
